Can methotrexate cause pimples on the face and décolleté?
Hello, I took 2 doses of methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy, since then I have been struggling with a huge rash of pustules on the face, cleavage and back. Could this be a side effect? Where to look for help?

Skin-related side effects with Methotrexat include, m.in, alopecia, rash, erythema, pruritus, photosensitivity, skin ulceration, hives, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acne, petechiae. A full description of the side effects of the drugs can be found in the package leaflets. The leaflet also includes the frequency of occurrence of individual side effects. Skin eruptions can occur on the entire surface of the body.
Side effects after taking methotrexate usually disappear after a few days or weeks. If the ailments are bothersome and do not go away, I encourage you to consult a doctor, e.g. through a teleconsultation, m.in. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
