A 3-day delay may interfere with the contraceptive efficacy of the Ginoring ring. For the next 7 days, additional protection should be used.

"The patient should insert a new vaginal therapeutic system as soon as possible. In addition, for the next 7 days, she should use barrier methods of contraception, such as a male condom. If intercourse occurs during a break in the vaginal therapeutic system, it should be ensured that the patient is not pregnant. The longer the interval in the use of the vaginal therapeutic system, the greater the risk of pregnancy."
