The half-life of duloxetine, i.e. the time after which half of the dose of the drug in the body will be eliminated from the body, ranges from 8 to 17 hours (average 12 hours). Therefore, with an average elimination time, the drug will be completely removed from the body about 5-6 days after the end of therapy, of course, hypothetically assuming that the last dose of the drug taken will be 30 mg (in practice, when discontinuing the drug, the dose should be reduced gradually, depending on the specific patient, for at least 1-2 weeks).

Although there has been no systematic risk assessment of the use of duloxetine in combination with other substances acting on the central nervous system (including alcohol), due to the potential for increased risk of the side effects I have mentioned above, alcohol consumption is not recommended for the duration of therapy, the time of gradual reduction of the dose and a certain period after the end of therapy (the length of which is determined by the time of elimination of the drug from the body).
Please remember that you should also not discontinue this type of medication without first consulting your doctor.

During treatment with Dulsevia, as with other antidepressants, alcohol should be avoided. This combination can increase the risk of liver damage, affect brain function, and cause drowsiness, fatigue, and impaired motor coordination and concentration.
