If you vomit within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, take another tablet as soon as possible. If you did not take another pill and did not take another one until the next day, after 12 hours, this should be treated as a missed pill. Therefore, the effectiveness of contraception may have been reduced and additional methods of contraception should be used for the next 7 days.
The appropriate procedure for missed tablets depends on the week in which they were missed, as stated in the package leaflet. However, you did not indicate in your question which pill you were referring to.
