If both medicines have been prescribed by two different doctors who do not have information about the medicines you are using, you should consult your doctor about their combined use. Your doctor will assess the appropriateness of their combined use and, if necessary, modify the dosage. However, if both preparations are prescribed by one doctor or another doctor who has full information about the medications used, they should be used according to their recommendations.
Concomitant use of Escitil and Mirtor may increase the risk of side effects or exacerbate existing ones, due to the potential to induce excessive levels of serotonin in the brain. This may result in serotonin syndrome, the symptoms of which include, m.in, fever, sweating, increased heart rate, chills, increased reflexes, anxiety, mood changes, loss of consciousness, diarrhoea, (uncontrollable) muscle cramps. These symptoms may or may not occur, it depends on the patient's tolerance to the preparations taken and the doses used, so the individual reaction of the body to the drugs used should be observed.
