I took Escapelle, the pregnancy test 2 weeks after my period is negative - is there anything to worry about?

Hello, I had intercourse with my boyfriend and then the condom broke and there were injections inside, I took the pill an hour after intercourse, I got my period 2 weeks later, which lasted 5/6 days 3 days before the due date. I did a pregnancy test 2 weeks later which came out negative, is there anything to worry about ?

Emergency contraception can cause cycle disorders, such as irregular bleeding or menstrual disorders (hence the period may have occurred at a different time than usual). Your description indicates the correct use of the drug. A pregnancy test taken two weeks after menstruation shows a reliable result. In my opinion, there is no reason to worry about pregnancy.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
