Is it better to use regular or SR Xanax for sudden panic attacks?
9.99 zł

Hello. The doctor prescribed me xanax sr in case of a sudden panic attack, and I read that its maximum concentration works after 5-11 hours. Wouldn't it be better to take plain xanax for a sudden attack than sr?

To Joelle Ancieux:

Xanax is only available with a prescription, who must issue an e-prescription detailing the dosage to be taken by the patient. It is not possible to ship this medicine.

Given the timing and speed of action of both drugs, the standard tablet will be a better option for emergencies (due to the rapid release of the active ingredient) while the extended-release form will be a better option for patients suffering from chronic/long-term conditions. Extended-release tablets take longer to work, but the time when peak plasma concentrations are reached is also extended. Because their effects are less violent (slow start), they may be better tolerated by some patients. Analysing the description of the situation, it is advisable to consult the attending physician again.
