What to do if on the 3rd patch Evra Have I been bleeding?

Good afternoon! What to do if your period started in the 3rd week of using the patch. When to apply a new patch now? And is it necessary to remove the patch now, or remove it on the day of replacement?

The name of the drug was not included in the question. If your question is about the Evra product marked in the tags, please read on.

Which pack of Evra do you use? Irregular spotting and bleeding may occur at the beginning of use. The adaptation period to the use of the drug lasts even the first 3-6 months. Subsequent patches should be used according to the scheme. Do not remove the patch beforehand. The occurrence of bleeding does not affect the effectiveness of the contraception used.

I am attaching a link that allows you to check the availability of Evra and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:

If you have been using the patches for more than 6 months, bleeding may be one of the side effects of the medicine. In this case, I encourage you to report the occurrence of adverse reactions of the preparation. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over the medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:

In case the bleeding does not stop, I encourage you to consult a doctor. You can also take advantage of a teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
