Can I have a problem with losing weight while taking Pylera, Prokit, Dexilant, Xifaxan, Butiner, Enterol Forte and Symbiosys Alflorex?

Hello. I have been diagnosed with SIBO methane and Helicobacter Pylorii. The gastroenterologist prescribed me the following treatments: Pylera, Prokit, Dexilant, Xifaxan, Butiner, Enterol Forte, Symbiosys Alflorex. I'm on a reduction diet under the supervision of a dietitian, but for the last 1.5 months I haven't lost any weight and even gained 1kg. Could it be related to the medication I am taking?

Yes, these drugs can slow down metabolism, cause water retention in the body and increase appetite - hence the problem with weight loss.

If you notice any side effects, you should report them to your doctor, who will decide what to do next.
