Can Neurovit cause neuralgia?

I started taking Neurovit 2x a day since yesterday i.e. since January 5th. A drug prescribed by an internist, confirmed a day later by an orthopedist who diagnosed a damaged ulnar nerve. The internist prescribed it at a dose of 1 day, while the orthopedist decided to do it 2 times a day. I'm after 3 tablets and today I feel intercostal neuralgia (unpleasant prickling) when breathing (but not every time), with various trunk movements, bending over. I'm wondering if it's a side effect or just the effects of these vitamins? And whether to set aside

Taking high doses of vitamin B6 (e.g. in Neurovit) for a long time may cause peripheral neuropathies (nerve disorders that cause a stinging or tingling sensation). You use the drug for a few days, and unless you use additional vitamin B6 preparations, it is very unlikely that it has caused neuralgia. The drug is recommended as an adjunctive treatment in the treatment of peripheral nerve diseases, m.in polyneuropathy or inflammation of peripheral nerves. Usually, Neurovit is used 1 time a day, in individual cases the dosage can be increased to 3 times a day.

If the neuralgia persists, I encourage you to consult a doctor. You can also take advantage of a teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
