Should I continue to take Fostex if I have inflammation in my throat and tongue, muscle pain and cramps in my calves, and severe headache?
Good morning
I used to take Seretide in the morning, I have a cough and I need to cough it up, my saliva comes over as if it is flowing from my sinuses
I went to the doctor, he prescribed me Fostex, after it there is no cough but I have inflammation in my throat, the whole larynx in pain and on the tongue as well as mycosis, muscle pain and cramps in the calves and a severe headache
Should I still take Fostex or go back to Seretide?

It is difficult to suggest a specific method of treatment based on such a short description. Please remember that any modifications to the therapy, including discontinuation of the drug and switching to another one, should be made after consultation with the attending physician who is familiar with your health condition in detail. As a pharmacist, I can only give you general information: Both Seretide (which contains fluticasone and salmeterol) and Fostex (which contains beclomethasone and formoterol) are anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat asthma. Both drugs have different active ingredients, but both also contain an anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator. Both of these medications can cause various side effects among them also hoarseness, a feeling of dryness in the mouth or throat that makes it difficult to speak.
If you experience unpleasant symptoms after changing your medication, such as sore throat, headache, muscle pain and other ailments, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. Your doctor will be able to assess whether these symptoms are related to the new medication or if there is another cause, such as an infection or other factors. It is important that you do not stop your treatment without consulting your doctor.
