Is there a risk of pregnancy if I forget to take the 7th pill and have intercourse?

Hello. I take Sylvie 20 regularly. After the last break I started a new pack, unfortunately on the 7th day I forgot about the pill and instead of taking it at 19:00 I took it the next day at 10 am. Three days earlier, I had sex and my partner came inside me. Am I protected?

Unfortunately, if you forget to take your contraceptive pill, especially in the first week of packing, you run the risk of losing the effectiveness of your contraception.

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, if you forget to take a tablet for more than 12 hours, take it as soon as potential, even if it means taking two tablets at the same time. Additional contraceptive measures for the next 7 days should also be considered.

There is also an increased risk of pregnancy if sexual intercourse took place within 7 days prior to the mistake. Therefore, it is recommended to consult a doctor to assess the risks and possibly use emergency contraception.
