When will I be protected if I start a new pack of Orlifique 5-6 days later than I should?
24.99 zł

Hello, I'm taking the birth control pill Orlifique. On Wednesday 13.12 I should start a new blister, but unfortunately I don't have it with me so I haven't taken any tablet so far. I should have the pills on Monday at the latest. What should I do if I miss as many as 5 active tablets in 1 week? I would like to add that since yesterday, i.e. 14.12, I have light spotting.

Unfortunately, everything will be postponed for a few days. To maintain protection, take all tablets from the blister.

My main point is that my withdrawal bleeding is scheduled for January 6th and I've always had regular periods according to the data in the calendar, so I knew that I would definitely get my period on that day. But if I miss a few pills now, do I have to "make up" on them? Is it just that when I start taking the active pills on Monday, will I leave the ones I skipped or will I just have to "catch up" or take them longer, which will contribute to the fact that on the day I take the placebo tablet, I will continue to take the active pills, so automatically the day on which the withdrawal bleeding occurs will be extended? When I'm done with all the active pills, then I'll start taking a placebo and normally I'll have withdrawal bleeding?

If you manage to start a new pack on Sunday, the protection will be restored after the 7th tablet from the new blister. An additional form of contraception in the form of a condom must be used for the 7th tablet from the new blister.

If you start a new pack of pills on Monday, the protection will be significantly reduced and you will only get full protection with the next pack of pills. During the use of the tablets from the "Monday blister" you will need to use additional contraception in the form of a condom (for the entire cycle until the next pack).

In both situations, spotting or mid-cycle bleeding may occur. In this case, you should continue to take the tablets despite ongoing bleeding. The situation should adjust in the next cycle.
