Is loose stool after Alugastrin a normal reaction?

I have been diagnosed with IBS, sometimes empty belching, "a lump in the throat", slight heartburn, I drink alugastrin and I always have loose stool after this preparation, can there be such a reaction?

First of all, Alugastrin is not a drug used for IBS. It is a medicine containing sodium dihydroxyaluminium carbonate, which is used to treat symptomatic problems related to excessive stomach acid, such as heartburn and acid reflux.

I also do not find any information in the medical literature about loose stools after using Alugastrin. However, it is difficult to suggest a specific cause of the problem based on such a short description. If you are concerned about the effects of the medicine, it is best to talk to your doctor, who is familiar with your health condition in detail. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
