Can I be pregnant while taking Madinette?

She has been using the contraceptive pill Madinette for almost two years now. I still have two tablets left until the end of the blister and I have already noticed the brown spotting, it is very scanty. This was the case that month, and then there was bleeding, but it was also very scarce. I always take the pills regularly and I always use condoms too. Can I still be pregnant? I'm very scared, please help me if I have anything to stress about or if I shouldn't have reasons to worry. I'd like to add that she doesn't plan to ever be pregnant?

The occurrence of mid-cycle bleeding can have various causes. If you take the medicine regularly, at regular intervals, and you have not experienced diarrhoea or vomiting in between, I believe that you should have no cause for concern.

However, I suggest that you contact a gynaecologist who will assess your health and determine the cause of the spotting.

You can always book Madinette from the pharmacy of your choice using our portal.
