Can Voltaren Express FORTE tablets be combined with Ketonal gel? I take the pills twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. I would like to use the gel in the morning.

At the outset, it should be noted that Ketonal gel is only available with a prescription, so the desire to use Voltaren Express Forte tablets should also be discussed with your doctor.
As a rule, such a combination is not recommended, due to the fact that the active substances of the drugs mentioned in the question - Ketoprofen and Diclofenac belong to the same group of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). Concomitant oral use of this type of medication may result in an increase in their side effects.
The most common are irritation and even bleeding of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, especially if you suffer from gastric or duodenal ulcers. The risk of other side effects is also increased: skin lesions, impaired liver and kidney function, decreased heart function, decreased blood clotting.
