I'm having a prostate excision due to cancer. I suffer from urinary incontinence. The urologist prescribed me Tadalafil. The drug in the description says that it is for a completely different condition. Has anyone used it after prostate surgery for urinary incontinence problems?

Trust your doctor, because doctors are trained and have guidelines for the use of certain medications. In this case, it is probably about better blood supply to the organs, which will have a positive impact on the postoperative healing process.

Tadalafil is recommended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and for the treatment of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The use of the drug in the treatment of urinary incontinence is a so-called "off-label" recommendation, i.e. outside the registered indications. The decision to use an "off-label" drug is made by the doctor on the basis of m.in his or her clinical experience. Available clinical studies indicate a rapid (1-4 weeks) and significant reduction in symptoms involving both the urine accumulation and voiding phases.
