A psychiatrist gave me the drug Bupropion, and I also take Betaloc ZOK. I'm a bit afraid of using both, if I keep the time interval e.g. 4 hours will it be fine?

Hello, I got the drug bupropion from a psychiatrist. I also take Betaloc Zok 100 every morning. The doctor was informed that I was taking Betaloc but he told me to take both drugs, I know that they interact and I am a bit afraid of using both, if I keep e.g. a time interval of e.g. 4 hours will it be fine? I'm afraid of bradycardia.

Yes, it is true that these drugs do interact, but this is not an absolute reason to stop treatment. Keeping a time interval is the right thing to do.

The combination of both drugs may increase the effects and side effects of Betaloc. Blood pressure should therefore be monitored more often. The dose should be adjusted accordingly. It is also advisable to increase the frequency of ECG examinations.
