Diseases of the blood and hematopoietic system (haematological)
Hi I'm 30 and the doctor prescribed me Xarelto for life, along with progesterone... I am in a subject with high thrombotic risk (homozygosity) and I have Kallman's syndrome that does not allow me to have my period... Do you think it's a risky therapy?

There are no clinically relevant drug interactions. You can combine Xarelto and Progesterone.
Numerous clinical studies have confirmed the high anticoagulant efficacy of drugs such as Xarelto compared to vitamin K antagonists (acenocoumarol, warfarin) and much greater safety of use. Like all other NOACs, rivaroxaban does not require coagulation monitoring (e.g. INR with acenocoumarol and warfarin) and no dose adjustment is required for daily use. This is of great importance for improving the comfort of use.
What you should pay attention to is:
- Regular monitoring of kidney function (at least once a year). This medicine is excreted 66% by the kidneys, so impairment of kidney function may result in an increase in blood levels and potential bleeding complications.
It is also worth remembering that Xarelto should not be combined with ginseng - there is a very high risk of hemorrhage.
Always tell your doctor that you are taking Xarelto when adding additional medications to your therapy, if you have surgery - even at your dentist.
Here you can check the availability of Xarelto and Progesterone in pharmacies in Poland and make a reservation:
