Is it normal for bleeding with Sylvie 20 to be more heavy and painful than with a normal period?

Is it normal for my period to be heavier and more painful than usual when I stop taking Sylvie 20 pills? They were prescribed for me because my periods were prolonged, but they were not painful. Now on the first day of withdrawal bleeding I have a lot of stomach pain, but my period ends thankfully after 4 days. Is this normal anyway?

Heavy bleeding and pain are common side effects of Sylvie 20 tablets - especially in the first 3 cycles of using the drug. If the situation does not improve after the first 3 months, you should consult a gynecologist. It may be advisable to change your contraceptive.
