Can I use Helicid instead of Zulbex?

Hello. I've been treating acid reflux for a while now. So far, I have been using zulbex twice a day 20 mg. Unfortunately, I've been having stomach pains again for some time now. I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist in two weeks. I have Helicid 20 (20mg) at home and I've heard it's better than Zulbex. Can I make a swap until my appointment? Instead of zulbex, take the helicid twice a day in such quantities as well?
Thank you and best regards.

No, it is not advisable to do this without consulting your doctor. Both Zulbex and Helicid are only available with a prescription and should not be used without consulting your doctor.

Zulbex (rabeprazole) and Helicid (omeprazole) are proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) that are used to treat gastroesophageal reflux and stomach ulcers. Although both of these drugs work in a similar way, inhibiting the production of stomach acid, they are not substitutes.

If you are unable to get to your doctor, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation, via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
