Good morning. She uses the contraceptive pill Yasmin. I've read on the internet that it's very important to start each new packaging at the same time as the packaging (not later) so that it doesn't affect the effectiveness. According to the summary of product characteristics, Yasmin tablets should be taken each day, at approximately the same time, in the order indicated on the
packaging, with a small amount of liquid if necessary.
It is also stated that if less than 12 hours have elapsed since the scheduled taking of the pill, the effectiveness of contraceptive protection is not reduced.
Thus, the difference in one hour will not affect the effectiveness of contraception. You can start using the new pack at 8:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
