Does telmisartan affect the development of cancer?

A good night's sleep.
I have a question about telmistartan, a drug for high blood pressure. Are there any recent studies on this drug and cancer? Thank you.

According to the available literature, the use of telmisartan may slightly increase the risk of cancer. Lung cancer was significantly more frequently reported. However, it is indicated that the development of cancer is influenced by many factors, as well as the fact that it is a long-term process.

If you are at risk of developing cancer (e.g. cancer in a close family), I encourage you to undergo regular check-ups.
