Depo-Provera contains the hormone medroxyprogesterone acetate, a progesterone derivative with progestational and ovulation-inhibiting effects.
The indication for use is contraception.
Usually, one injection is given every 12 weeks. One injection provides contraceptive protection for 14 weeks. So, in about 14 weeks after the last injection, you should ovulate. And then after 14 days, menstruation may occur. So if the injection was on July 10 - 97 days have passed, i.e. tomorrow will be 14 weeks. You should not expect to have your period before November 1st.
