Can Saxenda have a negative effect on the heart?

Hello, I took Saxende a year ago but I had to give up due to financial problems. Now I came back again and on the smallest dose I started to burn in the chest, with my heart I had no problems before. I immediately put it away because I was scared. Now, once in a while, this burning returns. Could it be caused by Saxenda, it has a negative effect on the heart? I would add that a year ago as I took this drug I was also on the highest doses and nothing happened.

The manufacturer shall provide the following information:

"Patients should be informed
if you have signs of an increase in heart rate (palpitations or a feeling of a rapid heartbeat at rest). In patients with clinically significant, long-term increase in heart rate at rest, liraglutide treatment should be discontinued."

At the same time, this medication can cause acid reflux, the symptoms of which can be mistaken for heart disorders.

Therefore, all the more reason to consult a doctor if you notice any side effects you may find. You can read more about why you should report adverse drug reactions here:
