Should I take Encorton for my sinuses if I have hyperthyroidism?
24.99 zł

Hello. The ENT doctor prescribed me ENCORTON at a dose of 10mg for acute sinusitis. I have to take this drug in doses of 4-4-3-3-2-2-1-1, but I am afraid to take this drug after reading side effects and statements of other people on the forum. I have a small child that she takes care of herself. Is the dose as this doctor prescribed me is safe in the end it is so many pills at once? Let me add that I have hyperthyroidism, Gravers Basedow's disease.

Such short-term steroid therapy seems to be safe and does not pose a serious threat to a person with hyperthyroidism. Nevertheless, it is worth knowing that Encorton affects the action of drugs used in hyperthyroidism. According to the manufacturer: "Drugs for hyperthyroidism, thyroid hormones: altered thyroid function; The dose may need to be changed or discontinued for hyperthyroidism or thyroid hormone." The occurrence of side effects with Encorton depends primarily on the duration of treatment and to a lesser extent on the dose, time or frequency of administration of the medicine.
