Hello, I changed Belara contraceptive pills (21 pills) to Yaz (24+4). During the first 4 months of taking the tablets, bleeding usually occurred around day 21, i.e. before the placebo tablets. In this cycle, so far it has not occurred at all - I am today on 2 placebo tablets. Are such fluctuations normal when changing tablets?

Yes, this is a common situation after changing tablets from 21+7 to 24+4. However, if bleeding does not appear after the 4th placebo tablet, it is worth doing a pregnancy test before you start taking the tablets from the new package, which you will buy at the pharmacy. If the result is negative, start a new pack despite the absence of bleeding. In this cycle, spotting or intracyclic bleeding may appear - usually in the next 2-3 cycles the situation normalizes and bleeding begins to appear on time, i.e. during placebo.
