Hello Over a month ago I had to suddenly stop discontinuing ketilept in a 50mg / day donor. Since then I have trouble sleeping, dry mouth, but I wonder if this partial insomnia can be due to the fact that I was used to falling asleep suddenly as a result of the drug, or because it was suddenly discontinued. Is it possible that the side effect of sudden withdrawal has persisted for a month? Yours sincerely

After abrupt discontinuation of quetiapine (the active ingredient in Ketilept), withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, nausea, headache, diarrhoea, vomiting, dizziness and hyperactivity may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to gradually discontinue the drug over a period of at least one to two weeks. However, problems with falling asleep that have persisted for a month may result from the end of the soporific effect of the drug after its discontinuation. I enclose the leaflet of the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/40030/ketilept-25-mg-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka and an article that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/preparaty-na-sen
