Is bitterness in the mouth after a teacher's rinse a cause for concern?

Good morning, I was prescribed a teacher rinse made - where in the composition is vitamin A, vitamin E, glycerin. After the first use, I got a terrible bitterness in my mouth, which persists. Could it be because of it?

Bitterness in the mouth after using the rinse can be caused by the ingredients contained in the rinse, but it can also have another source. Vitamin A and vitamin E are usually well-tolerated ingredients, and glycerin can sometimes affect the taste and texture of the product. Glycerin is a sweet-tasting substance that can in some cases leave a sticky sensation or change the taste sensation in the mouth. In this type of rinses, peppermint oil, containing menthol, is also often used. Menthol is a compound with a characteristic refreshing cooling effect, which can sometimes be felt as bitterness or tingling sensation. You should also consider whether the medicine was used, i.e. did you dilute the rinse according to the recipe on the signature? Usually it is a teaspoon per 1/2 cup of water. It is worth checking whether bitterness appears immediately after using the rinse and whether it disappears after some time. If the problem persists or is very uncomfortable, it is worth consulting the doctor or pharmacist who made the medicine to assess the situation.
