Is waking up at night and sweating a side effect of Sirdalud?

I take with a prescription Sirdalud 4 mg, 0.5 tablets per night. Every night I wake up drenched in sweat. Is this a side effect of this drug? Additionally, I take propranolone and birth control pills.

As a pharmacist, I can only give you general information. However, this is no substitute for medical advice. I can only give general information: Sirdalud (Tizanidine): Sirdalud is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant. It is used m.in in the treatment of static and functional diseases of the spine (e.g. cervical and lumbar syndromes). According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, sleep disorders and insomnia are common side effects of Sirdalud: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/71404/sirdalud-tabletki/apteki Propranolol: is a beta-blocking drug that is used, m.in. to treat hypertension and arrhythmias. In rare cases, it can affect the thermoregulation of the body, which can affect sweating, both excessive and reduced. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/64628/propranolol-wzf-tabletki/apteki Birth control pills: Birth control pills can also affect the body's hormonal balance, which can affect various functions, including sweating. However, they are usually not the main cause of excessive sweating. The action and composition of individual drugs can be checked by clicking on the attached links on the gdziepolek.pl website, which also allows you to book them at the nearest pharmacy. In case of doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again, especially if you have not been informed about other medicines you are currently using. It is the doctor who decides whether to treat the patient m.in based on the history of the disease and the previous response to treatment. Only a doctor can decide on a possible change in pharmacotherapy. If you do not have the possibility of a stationary visit, I encourage you to use teleadvice, e.g. via the portal Gdziepolek.pl: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
