Could weight loss and reduction of fatter, empty calories have an impact on lowering blood pressure?

On a daily basis I take polpril 5mg and ebivol 5mg drugs, recently I managed to lose about 17 kg. I noticed that my blood pressure is now 100/62/65, should I go back to the initial dose of polpril 2.5mg, it seems to me that the dose of 5mg is too high, or could the weight loss and restriction of fat, empty calories have an impact on lowering the pressure?

Any modifications in therapy, including a change in the dose of the drug, should always be made after consultation with the attending physician acquainted in detail with your state of health. We wrote more about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-jak-i-kiedy-mozna-odstawic-leki Lowering blood pressure can be related to various factors, including changes in diet, weight loss, decreased fat and calorie intake, etc. If you have noticed a significant reduction in blood pressure after weight loss and dietary changes, this may be an indicator that the current dose of medication is too high and should be adjusted. However, this is an important decision that should be made by the attending physician after carefully reviewing your current state of health. If you are unable to get to your doctor, I encourage you to use teleadvice via, for example, the portal Gdziepolek.pl: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-kardiologiem
