Can I use a stomach shielding drug when I use anti-inflammatory drugs and Thiogamma?

Good morning. The doctor prescribed me Thiagamma 600 mg . At the same time, I take anti-inflammatory drugs due to the prolonged pain of sciatica, more precisely, the nerve. My stomach starts to hurt. Before Thiagamma, I always took a stomach shield in the morning. Can I also use it now? Thank you for your reply

At the outset, it should be noted that any modifications in therapy, including the inclusion of a new drug, should be made after consultation with the attending physician acquainted in detail with your health condition, we wrote more about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-jak-i-kiedy-mozna-odstawic-leki If you are taking anti-inflammatory drugs and you start to experience stomach pain, it may be related to irritation caused by long-term use of anti-inflammatory drugs. Such medicines can irritate the gastric mucosa and increase the risk of ulcers or other stomach ailments. If you have previously taken a stomach shielding medicine and it was not contraindicated by your doctor, it is worth talking to him about continuing to use this medicine. It is the doctor who decides whether to treat the patient m.in based on the history of the disease and the previous response to treatment. Only a doctor can decide on a possible change in pharmacotherapy. If you are unable to get to your doctor, the GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
