Only a doctor can decide on a possible change in pharmacotherapy. Tramal in combination with psychiatric drugs can cause much more serious side effects, such as serotonin syndrome, breathing disorders or seizures. This does not mean, of course, that they will all occur in every patient. Mel Forte is a much safer drug in this respect. In this case, however, the risk of impaired kidney function may increase, especially if your kidneys are not functioning properly or you are elderly.
