Hello, I take from April Jeanine m.in. for endometriosis,to reduce cysts (this is the main reason, not protection). However, since I take them I have problems with digestion, eating, there was a bothersome belching, nausea, it's hard to eat anything after taking the tablet. Is Jeanine (or contraception in general) really the only way out of this 'disease'? I feel that they are badly affecting me. Thank you for your reply

The use of combined contraceptive pills (e.g. Jeanine) is not the only method of alleviating endometriosis ailments. Currently, m.in can be used in the pharmacotherapy of endometriosis: - oral progestogens (dienogest), e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99981/diemono-tabletki-powlekane/apteki, https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/82679/visanne-tabletki/apteki, - progestogens in the form of a subcutaneous implant (medroxyprogesterone), e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/21949/depo-provera-iniekcja/apteki, - progestogen-releasing intrauterine systems (levonorgestrel): https://www.gdziepolek. en/products/43342/Levosert-Instrument/Pharmacies. The choice of treatment method depends on her age, procreative plans, the extent of changes, pain. It is worth being aware that patients with endometriosis should be treated by gynecologists specializing in the treatment of this disease. Below is a link to the website of the Foundation to Beat Endometriosis with a list of specialists in the treatment of endometriosis in Poland: https://pokonacendometrioze.pl/gdzie-leczyc/ It is worth being aware that in addition to pharmacological and surgical treatment, a proper diet is very important in the treatment of endometriosis - an anti-inflammatory diet is recommended, and proper supplementation including the use of m.in. omega-3 acids, curcumin, vitamin D3.
