Escitalopram is an antidepressant from the group of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), used to treat depression and some anxiety disorders. Ramoclav is an antibiotic combined with amoxicillin (penicillin) and clavulanic acid, used to treat bacterial infections. The interaction between escitalopram and Ramoclav may increase the risk of side effects associated with increased serotonin levels in the brain, which may lead to so-called serotonin syndrome. Symptoms of serotonin syndrome may include agitation, tremors, sweating, anxiety, nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate and other symptoms. In case of severe symptoms, you should immediately seek medical help. If you keep at least 2-3 hours between medications, nothing bad should happen.
