I started taking Yasminelle when the spotting appeared and it did not go into bleeding - can it be?

I was prescribed Yasminelle for irregular periods. I should get my period tomorrow (06.06.2023) but 4 days earlier my mucus changed to brown and already then I started taking Yasminelle with the idea that it is a period and it is still missing. There was nausea and malaise. I had sex with my boyfriend a week ago. Could it be a pregnancy? Is this the only way the drug is supposed to work?

Starting to take the hormones contained in the tablets may have affected the earlier stopping of bleeding. Nausea and malaise are common side effects of birth control pills, which can especially occur in the first 3 months of their use.
