After inserting the Mirena IUD, shouldn't I have an appointment with a gynecologist earlier than six months?

Yesterday, on the 25th day of the cycle, I had a mirene insert on. The doctor recommended another visit in half a year. Is it the right practice for the next visit to be after such a time? Shouldn't the position of the IUD be checked after a month, for example?

The manufacturer recommends as follows: "The patient should be re-examined within 4 to 12 weeks after the installation of the Mirena system and then once a year. If necessary, check-ups shall be carried out more frequently." Therefore, please consult your gynecologist again, you may need to arrange an additional visit for 4-12 weeks.
