In two pregnancies I had gestational diabetes with a regulated diet, and in the second I have been taking insulin for 5 months (morning and evening), can I take Saxenda in this case? Currently, my fasting sugar and sugar curve is normal. Please reply.

Saxenda is a medicine used to lose weight, it is not classified as an antidiabetic medicine. Nevertheless, Saxenda may interact with some oral antidiabetic drugs and insulin, but as I understand it, you do not currently use such preparations. So I am not sure whether you are asking about indications or contraindications to the use of Saxenda. The final decision is made by the doctor, who has access to all the information about your health and should best answer whether you can use a prescription drug such as Saxenda. From a pharmaceutical point of view, however, I can provide information that the indications for the inclusion of Saxenda are obesity or overweight. In the latter case, however, the drug documentation provides additional criteria: BMI from 27 to 30 kg / m2 and the co-occurrence of conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal levels of fats in the blood or sleep apnea. However, sometimes your doctor may decide to include Saxenda even if not all the criteria are met.
