Good morning: Is the effectiveness of birth control pills maintained if there is a sexual encounter while taking the placebo Drovelis pill? I would like to add that no pink tablet from the blister was missed (about 3 times there was a 2-hour delay in taking the tablet) and there were several occasional, one-time diarrhoea during the cycle.

In my opinion - there is no need - the EllOne tablet is only effective if you take it within 120 hours of intercourse. Adopting it "in advance" will not be effective. I think you would distinguish diarrhoea from simple diarrhoea. Passing loose stool after taking the tablet does not affect its effectiveness. Only if diarrhoea occurred - that is, a minimum of 3 watery stools within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, protection could be reduced. If anything still bothers you, you can do a home pregnancy test, which you will buy at the pharmacy. The test detects already very early pregnancy (10-12 days). Here you can compare the prices of sample tests and order the test with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/97388/domowe-laboratorium-pink-test-ciazowy-strumieniowy-super-czuly-test/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/91349/domowe-laboratorium-pink-test-ciazowy-plytkowy-super-czuly-test/apteki

However, if it turns out that one of the active tablets did not take (assuming that diarrhea could have occurred in the cycle, which I mistook for ordinary diarrhoea), should I take the ellaone tablet to be sure? Maybe the question is stupid, but I've only been using hormonal contraception for a few months and I'm still stressed out

In this situation, the protection is maintained and you are also protected when taking placebo tablets. Drovelis tablets should be taken every day, at about the same time - a 2-hour delay does not matter and does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. Occasional, loose stools also do not affect the effectiveness of tablets. Protection could be reduced if diarrhoea occurred within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet - understood as more than 3 loose stools, often accompanied by abdominal pain. In your case, there was no diarrhea, so protection is provided.
