According to the available literature data, which I was able to find, high doses of statins, e.g. atorvastatin 80mg and drugs from the group of calcium channel antagonists may affect the reduction of PAPP-A protein concentration. Drugs that affect the concentration of betaHCG are drugs used to treat infertility, e.g. Pregnyl, Ovitrelle, because they contain chorionic gonadotropin. A small study in 23 pregnant patients demonstrated the effect of antiepileptic drugs (carbamazepine, valproic acid and lamotrigine) on the elevation of beta-HCG levels in screening tests conducted in the first trimester of pregnancy.
