Good morning, The doctor diagnosed me with vaginal mycosis. He assigned me macmiror complex 500 globules for 8 days and gyno-femidazole vaginal tablets. The doctor recommended that these drugs be taken alternately. He also said that I could take gyno femidazole in the morning and macmiror complex 500 in the evening. My question is, is it safe? Both drugs have an antifungal effect, if I use as recommended by the doctor, will there simply be side effects or I will not heal from this mycosis?

According to the manufacturer of Gyno-Femidazole: "Miconazole nitrate weakens the effect of polyene antibiotics (e.g. nystatin, natamycin). Therefore, the concomitant use of Gyno-Femidazole in combination with polyene antibiotics is not recommended." Since Macmiror Complex contains, m.in. nystatin, the antifungal effect of this drug may be impaired when it is combined with Gyno-Femidazole. Perhaps this is a deliberate action - Gyno-Femidazole will have an antifungal effect, and Macmiror Complex will act antiparasitic and antibacterial. If, despite everything, you have doubts about the legitimacy of such therapy - it is worth consulting your doctor again.
