To @Joanna: Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in the body. The cause of reduced ferritin levels may be, m.in. poor diet (iron deficiency), diseases that weaken the absorption of iron in the gastrointestinal tract, such as inflammatory bowel diseases and the use of certain drugs, e.g. PPIs (drugs that inhibit the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which are used, m.in. in the treatment of gastritis). This problem should be discussed with your doctor, indicating what diseases you suffer from and what medicines you use. Teleconsultation can be used here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja I enclose a helpful video:

I am under medical supervision, I have no bleeding between periods and menstruation is not abundant. I supplemented with various irons and there was no improvement. I took ferroplex drugs, ferrum drug and after them iron rises, and ferritin does not. I stop taking the medication and the iron goes down. I have atrophic (+) gastritis, could this be the cause of malabsorption? I would add that I also have a problem with vit. from group B, I take B12 once a month intramuscularly and it is now at 350.

It is not recommended to use nettle juice or nettle tea in ladies suffering from uterine fibroids. The low value of ferritin (i.e. a protein that is an iron "storehouse" in the body) is an indication for the use of iron supplementation under medical supervision. Uterine fibroids can cause excessive bleeding, which after some time causes iron deficiency anemia - it is worth considering comprehensive gynecological treatment. I encourage you to read: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/anemia-jak-leczyc-niedokrwistosc Personally, I can recommend the Solgar iron preparation, which is very well tolerated even by people suffering from gastrointestinal ailments. However, I encourage you to first agree on the treatment with your doctor. More information below: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/32420/solgar-gentle-iron-diglicynian-zelaza-kapsulki/apteki
