Hello. I've had a blocked left ear for a week now. I can hear less clearly than on the right, loud sounds flow in a strange way. I had a cold, I don't have water in my ear, and it's certainly not clogged with earwax. I am not accompanied by dizziness, earache or vomiting and nausea. I used Fonix but without any effects, I used hydrogen peroxide, my ear was cut off for a day and the second one was clogged again. I don't know what to do anymore and I have no way to get to the ENT. Thank you in advance for your reply.

If during a cold there was a runny nose and swelling of the mucous membranes, it could also spread to the ear membranes. In this case, preparations containing decongestants, intranasally used, containing oxy- or xylometazoline, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/116171/acatar-care-aerozol/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/51588/nasic-aerozol/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/58278/otrivin-aerozol/apteki We use them 3x a day, for a maximum of 7 days, may be effective. You can also use ear drops containing choline salicylate, eg Otinum, Ototalgin, Axotonil (with applicator) : https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/87697/otinum-krople-do-uszu/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/58259/ototalgin-krople-do-uszu/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/114028/axotonil-aerozol/apteki The active substance contained in them has, m.in. anti-inflammatory effect, which can help reduce possible swelling. Drops should not be used if you are allergic to aspirin/salicylates. The listed preparations can be ordered at an online pharmacy by selecting on-site collection or delivery to the address. If the mentioned measures do not give improvement after about 3 days of use, a visit to the doctor will be necessary, it may be a 1 contact doctor (family).
