Saxenda is not recommended for type 1 diabetes. The indication for the use of Saxenda is obesity or overweight + additionally metabolic syndrome (type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal levels of fats in the blood or breathing disorders during sleep - so-called sleep apnea). The final decision on treatment is made by the attending physician.
