No. The active substance in Uprox is tamsulosin. Tamsulosin is an alpha blocker that relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, facilitating urination. Indications for use of the drug are lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
