Will the pulse return to normal after discontinuation of Encorton?
Hello, I took the drug encorton. I took it 11 days, the last 2 days a single dose of 5 mg. Yes, the daily doses were double 10 mg I noticed that for a few days I have a faster pulse. I've always had 70 and now 100 or 110 but my blood pressure is correct 123 out of 72. Since Sunday, I no longer take them and whether the pulse will stabilize after stopping medication.

The normal pulse in an adult is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. The use of oral steroids such as Encorton can increase the pulse. If you observed an increase in it while using the drug, this was most likely the cause of the changes. After discontinuation of the drug, everything should return to normal. Please observe yourself and if your pulse continues to "grow" or if you notice additional disturbing symptoms, you should see a doctor. It can take about 10-14 days to return to normal.
