Could Normatens have caused me to raise my serum uric acid? I have been taking it for a year and a half and the last blood test showed a significant excess of the norm. I've never had a problem with that before.

Normatens may cause an increase in uric acid levels in the blood, but the frequency of this side effect is not known. So it is impossible to answer how statistically likely it is that the cause of the increased result is a drug - but this should be taken into account.
