According to the manufacturer, you should not breastfeed while using Metypred: "Corticosteroids pass into breast milk. Corticosteroids that penetrate breast milk can inhibit growth and affect endogenous glucocorticoid production in breastfed infants. Insufficient studies on the effects of glucocorticoids on human reproduction have been conducted, therefore these products should not be administered to breastfeeding women unless the benefits of treatment are considered to outweigh the potential risks to the infant." In my opinion, it would be safer to stop feeding for the duration of treatment and for about a week after discontinuation of the drug.
