In order for contraceptive protection to be preserved, the first disc should be inserted on the 1st day of menstruation. The disc can also be inserted between the 2nd and 5th day of menstruation, but in this case the contraceptive protection may be weakened and it is recommended to use an additional method of contraception, e.g. a condom, for the first 7 days.
