Izotek treatment is recommended by a doctor on the basis of a previous medical history and after performing appropriate tests. He evaluates the previous local treatment, preparations used or diet and decides on the need for general treatment. The indication for the use of Izotek are severe forms of acne (such as nodular acne, acne clustered or acne with the risk of permanent scarring) resistant to properly carried out standard treatment with generally acting antibacterial drugs and topical drugs. It's hard for me to assess whether at the beginning instead of Izotek, you will not be prescribed, for example, an oral antibiotic. It should be remembered that during the use of systemic isotretinoin, the patient must be continuously monitored (e.g. through blood tests). After that, you mention depression, there are reports that isotretinoin can exacerbate depressive states. It will be necessary to cooperate with a psychiatrist or psychologist.
